Landing Gear Technician
Position Summary:
The Landing Gear Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, overhaul, testing, and inspection of aircraft landing gear components in accordance with OEM technical data, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. The role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and EHS policies within the MRO environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, repair, modification, replacement, and overhaul of landing gear and related aircraft components based on approved technical data.
• Conduct mid-level testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical operations to diagnose and resolve component-level issues.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with turnaround time (TAT) requirements and job assignments are finished efficiently.
• Carry out detailed inspection and repair tasks in compliance with OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Overhaul Manuals, and other technical documentation.
• Complete all required on-the-job training (OJT) documentation and mandatory readings.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership, providing updates on progress, findings, and any technical challenges encountered.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering drawings, schematics, and other relevant technical data to determine proper repair or modification methods.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance cell.
• Perform scheduled shop audits and contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Adhere to shop rules, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of EHS risks, impacts, policies, and procedures, and comply with all EHS-related requirements.
• Maintain required EHS competencies as outlined in organizational policy.
• Carry out additional technical or operational tasks as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications:
• Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma or Degree.
• Minimum 3 years of aerospace industry experience, preferably within an MRO environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting CMMs, repair manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Skilled in the use of calibrated precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with aircraft wiring systems; EWIS training is an advantage.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and provide support to other departments when required.
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
