Resource Planning Manager – Aviation / MRO

Our client, a leading aviation and MRO organization, is seeking a highly skilled Resource Planning Manager to lead and optimize resource allocation across their operations. About the Role
As the Resource Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing resource planning strategies, overseeing manpower and scheduling, and ensuring operational efficiency. You will work closely with multiple departments and lead a team dedicated to delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Lead manpower planning, operational data analysis, and reporting to senior management.

Develop resource planning strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.

Analyze maintenance schedules, forecasts, and historical data to determine resource needs and address potential bottlenecks.

Manage the implementation of manpower planning tools and processes to improve efficiency and analytical capabilities.

Oversee Training and Scheduling teams to ensure operational targets are met.

Monitor resource utilization, productivity, and performance; establish KPIs to measure effectiveness.

Produce forecasts, run scenario analyses, and recommend adjustments to optimize costs and operational outcomes.

Determine staffing (FTE) requirements, monitor fluctuations, and recommend hiring or training needs.

Manage cyclical and monthly rosters across operational departments.

Drive process improvement initiatives to implement industry best practices and advanced technologies.

Promote a safety culture, adhere to environmental and regulatory standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field.

Certifications in resource planning, Six Sigma, or PMP are advantageous.
Experience & Knowledge

8–12 years of managerial experience, including 3–5 years in MRO or aviation operations.

Strong background in planning, forecasting, and business analysis in aviation/MRO operations.

Knowledge of aviation maintenance processes, industry regulations, labor laws, and change management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and ERP systems.
