Power Platform Developer/Automation Specialist

Power Platform Developer/Automation Specialist required to work for a leading global aerospace and defence technology company.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a Power Platform Developer/Automation Specialist, performing various tasks including:
 
  • Design and develop Power Apps Canvas applications to support business operations and process improvements
  • Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, including approvals, notifications, and system integrations
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights for decision-making
  • Utilize SharePoint Online as a backend solution for lists, libraries, and application data management
  • Work with Dataverse for data modelling, table relationships, and scalable application architecture
  • Integrate applications and workflows with Microsoft 365 tools, including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Use connectors, APIs, and JSON-based integrations to enable seamless data flow between systems
  • Replace manual, repetitive processes with efficient digital and automated solutions
  • Collaborate directly with business users to gather requirements, refine use cases, and ensure practical delivery
  • Deliver intuitive tools and dashboards that encourage strong user adoption across teams

Mandatory Requirements

Power Apps
  • Strong hands-on experience building Canvas Apps
  • Experience with Model-Driven Apps is an advantage
  • Ability to connect applications to SharePoint, Dataverse, and SQL databases

Power Automate
  • Proven experience creating workflows for:
    • approvals
    • notifications
    • integrations
    • automated business processes





SharePoint Online
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • lists
    • libraries
    • permissions
    • solution structure
  • Experience using SharePoint as a backend for business applications

Power BI
  • Experience developing dashboards, KPI reports, and operational reporting tools
  • Ability to create meaningful visualizations and management reports
  • Working knowledge of data modelling and DAX

Dataverse
  • Working knowledge of:
    • tables
    • relationships
    • data structures
  • Strong understanding of when to use Dataverse vs SharePoint

Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting operations, supply chain, HR, finance, or enterprise business processes
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments

Desirable Requirements
 
  • Experience using connectors and APIs
  • Ability to work with JSON payloads
  • Integration experience across Microsoft 365 ecosystem tools
  • Experience supporting operations, supply chain, HR, finance, or enterprise business processes
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments
