Manager – Data, Analytics & AI
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Manager – Data, Analytics & AI to lead the development of enterprise data, business intelligence and AI capabilities across the organisation.
This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the enterprise data platform, executive reporting, operational analytics and the governance of AI solutions across business functions. Working with a small team, you'll ensure data is secure, well-governed and delivers meaningful insights that support business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage the enterprise data platform on a secure cloud environment.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPI reporting and operational analytics for business stakeholders.
- Deliver real-time reporting solutions to support operational performance.
- Lead the deployment and governance of enterprise AI solutions, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologies.
- Drive data governance, ensuring compliance with data classification, residency and retention requirements.
- Manage relationships with data, analytics and AI technology vendors.
About You
You're a data-driven leader with a passion for transforming information into actionable business insights. You combine strong technical expertise with strategic thinking and have experience implementing enterprise AI solutions in highly regulated environments. You're equally comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders and rolling up your sleeves to deliver practical solutions.
Essential Requirements
- 12+ years' experience in data, analytics or AI leadership, including ownership of enterprise data platforms.
- Proven experience delivering executive dashboards and business intelligence solutions using live operational data.
- Experience deploying enterprise AI solutions with robust governance and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security and regulatory compliance within highly regulated sectors such as aerospace, defence, healthcare, government or financial services.
- Experience managing enterprise data, analytics and AI technology vendors.
Desirable
- Experience within aerospace, defence or other safety-critical industries.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft data and AI ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and enterprise data governance frameworks.
