CNC Turner / Setter
Location - Lancashire (Commutable from St. Helens, Wigan, Warrington, Liverpool, Southport, Bolton, Skelmersadale, Ormskirk, Preston etc.)
The opportunity
A growing precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner / Setter to join their machining team.
Working in a modern, world-class facility, you'll be producing high-precision components from exotic materials for demanding industries where quality and accuracy are critical.
What you'll be doing
- Set, program and operate CNC lathes
- Read and edit FANUC programs
- Generate programs using One CNC / CAD-CAM
- Machine complex components from engineering drawings
- Work with exotic metals and alloys including Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Duplex and Super Duplex
- Use fixed and travelling steadies on components up to 5 metres long
- Carry out dimensional inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Maintain high quality and safety standards throughout production
About You
- Time-served CNC Turner (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong FANUC programming experience
- Experience with One CNC
- Proven background machining exotic metals
- Experience using steadies
- Able to work from engineering drawings and tight tolerances
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
