We are partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer specialising in premium aircraft seating solutions for the global aviation industry. With operations across Europe and the United States, our client is known for engineering excellence, innovation, and high-quality standards.

They are currently seeking an experienced Part 145 Maintenance Technician to join their Operations team based in Kaiserslautern.

The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft seating products. This is a hands-on position involving both on-site and international work, often directly at customer locations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on aircraft seating systems worldwide, including on-site assignments
  • Carrying out inspections, repairs, and servicing at the Kaiserslautern facility
  • Acting as Certifying Staff, issuing EASA Form 1 and certifying airworthiness of components
  • Representing the organisation at customer sites, ensuring product quality, safety, and availability
  • Supporting production teams with seat assembly, source inspections, and product acceptance processes
  • Assisting with spare parts management and overall airworthiness compliance
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation in line with aviation regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A completed technical apprenticeship (e.g. Aircraft Mechanic, Aviation Technician, or Mechatronics Technician)
  • Additional qualification as a state-certified technician (or equivalent), ideally within aerospace
  • Several years of relevant industry experience, preferably in aviation or MRO environments
  • Strong knowledge of EASA regulations, particularly Part 145 and Part 21G
  • A solid understanding of aviation processes and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and work independently
  • A customer-focused and professional attitude
  • Fluent German and strong English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis (up to 75%)
