KIT CUTTER – COMPOSITE PRODUCTION
Kit Cutter required to work for a leading motorsport team.
Working together with a dynamic team of experienced technicians within the Composite Production Department, you would be required to produce components to very high standards and to tight tolerances.
The position available is within the composite manufacturing area and includes the complete manufacturing process, using latest techniques and know-how, such as cutting table operating or use of a scanner in a clean air environment, which requires flexibility in all aspects of the composite manufacturing process.
Furthermore, you should take over certain coordination tasks and show a can-do attitude together with the ability to think out of the box, to continuously develop already existing procedures and processes whilst applying problem solving techniques.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a recognised apprenticeship (preferably cutting machine operator in textile/plastic market or similar) or experience to equivalent depth, and or breadth in the industry
- Advantageously have experience in the following areas: cutting machine operation, templating and scanning, creation of DXF files and vectorising scanned files, nesting
- Show knowledge in stock control of raw materials and the use of the companies IT system for booking purposes
- Have a good understanding of technical drawings and instructions
- Have sound English language skills
- Be a team player who demonstrates a responsible and creative working style, an ability to work independently to high standards with a minimum of supervision, have distinctive interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to working hours as well as the ability to perform under pressure
