Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data & Fatigue Engineer to join our engineering team supporting aviation and aerospace modification, maintenance, and certification programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering analysis, fatigue and damage-tolerance assessments, structural data evaluation, and preparation of technical documentation required to support aircraft modifications and continued airworthiness.
This position is well suited to an engineer with strong experience in aircraft structures, fatigue analysis, engineering data, and certification, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities

Perform aircraft structural fatigue, stress, and damage-tolerance analysis.

Review and interpret aircraft structural data, drawings, technical publications, inspection reports, and engineering documentation.

Develop and maintain engineering data to support aircraft modifications and repairs.

Conduct fatigue-life assessments and evaluate structural integrity.

Support the development and substantiation of engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation.

Assist with structural modification and repair design activities.

Review inspection findings and determine appropriate engineering solutions.

Support certification and regulatory compliance activities.

Prepare engineering reports, technical justifications, and supporting documentation.

Work with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.

Ensure engineering work complies with applicable Transport Canada, FAA, and other regulatory requirements, as applicable.

Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project discussions.

Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.

Provide technical support to aircraft maintenance and modification programs.
Qualifications & Experience

Engineering degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant aviation/aerospace engineering experience preferred.

Experience with aircraft structural analysis and fatigue engineering.

Strong understanding of aircraft structures, materials, loads, and structural integrity.

Experience interpreting aircraft drawings, structural repair manuals, engineering orders, and technical data.

Experience with fatigue and damage-tolerance methodologies.

Familiarity with aircraft certification and regulatory requirements.

Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Ability to analyze engineering data and develop practical solutions.

Proficiency with relevant engineering and analytical software.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Remote Work
Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available depending on the candidate's experience, technical capabilities, and ability to work independently. Candidates with extensive aircraft fatigue and structural engineering experience may be considered for greater remote flexibility.
