An established precision engineering and advanced manufacturing company is looking for an experienced CNC Miller Setter / Programmer to join its skilled machining team.

You’ll manufacture high-specification components from exotic materials using 4 and 5-axis machining centres within a modern, ISO-accredited engineering facility.

The role

  • Set, operate and program CNC milling machines

  • Write, read and edit CNC programs using FANUC controls

  • Produce offline programs using CAPT CAD/CAM or OneCNC

  • Operate 4 and 5-axis machining centres

  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

  • Select the correct tooling and machining strategies

  • Machine exotic materials to demanding specifications

  • Use precision measuring and inspection equipment

  • Maintain consistently high standards of accuracy and quality

Essential experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Setter or Programmer

  • Strong FANUC programming skills – this is essential

  • Experience with 4 and 5-axis machining centres

  • Experience machining exotic materials

  • Ability to program offline using CAPT CAD/CAM, OneCNC or a comparable system

  • Confident reading engineering drawings

  • Able to select tooling and determine machining requirements

  • Competent using precision measuring equipment
