Certifying Licensed Aircraft Engineer – B1/B2 (DHC-8)

Join a growing UK operator as a CAA UK Licensed B1 or B2 Engineer, working on a dedicated DHC-8 fleet and enjoying a balanced rotational schedule and provided accommodation.

Based in Lydd, UK on balanced rotations, this is your chance to work hands-on with DHC-8-100/300 and DHC-8-Q400 aircraft. You’ll be part of a skilled team that values experience, precision, and pride in every sign-off—with shared crew housing or allowance provided.

Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out line and base maintenance on DHC-8 aircraft per CAA Part-145 standards.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical (B1) or avionics (B2) defects efficiently.
  • Certify aircraft serviceability (CRS) within your licence scope and company authorisations.
  • Maintain accurate records and support safety/compliance across rotations.

Mandatory Requirements
 
  • Valid UK CAA Part-66 B1 or B2 Licence.
  • Proven hands-on experience on DHC-8-100/300 and/or DHC-8-Q400.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis (3-3-2-2) and travel to Lydd for each duty period.

Desirable Requirements
 
  • Type rating on DHC-8-100/300 and/or DHC-8-Q400.
  • Previous experience in regional airline or turboprop operations.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
