CAD/CAM Mold Designer – Composite Materials

An exciting opportunity for a CAD/CAM Mold Designer to join a leading advanced composite manufacturing company.

This is an excellent opportunity based in Veneto to join an established composite materials company on a permanent contract, whilst being rewarded with a competitive salary package and clear technical growth opportunities within a structured engineering team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a Junior CAD/CAM Mold Designer, performing various tasks including:

  • Translating 3D models into manufacturable mold designs

  • Designing molds and tooling for composite material production

  • Developing detailed CAD models and technical drawings using Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D)

  • Preparing CAM data to support CNC machining processes

  • Supporting prototype development and tooling optimization

  • Collaborating with engineering and production teams

  • Producing and reviewing technical documentation in English

Mandatory Requirements

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field

  • Proficiency in Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D)

  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems

  • Ability to read and produce technical documentation in English

  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in composite materials manufacturing (prepreg, infusion, autoclave processes)

  • Previous experience in mold or tooling design

  • Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work within a team environment
