Composite Fitter – Formula 1 (Brake Ducts)

Composite Fitter required to work for a leading Formula 1 motorsport team.

This is an excellent opportunity based in the UK to join an established F1 / high-performance motorsport environment, whilst being rewarded with a competitive contract rate.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a Composite Fitter, performing various tasks including:

  • Trimming, fitting, fettling, drilling, and bonding composite components

  • Working specifically on Formula 1 brake ducts

  • Reading and working from engineering drawings and build instructions

  • Carrying out high-quality assembly and finishing to F1 standards

  • Supporting rework, repair, and build schedules to tight deadlines

  • Working closely with laminators and engineers in a fast-paced environment

Mandatory Requirements

  • Proven Formula 1 composite fitting experience

  • Strong background in trimming and fitting carbon fibre components

  • Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Willingness to work 50+ hours per week

Desirable Requirements

  • Direct experience working on F1 brake ducts

  • Previous experience in top-level motorsport (F1, F2, IndyCar, WEC, etc.)

  • Immediate or short-notice availability

Additional Information

  • Contract start: ASAP

  • Contract length: Initial 3 months

  • Hours: Minimum 50 hours per week

  • Rate: £23 per hour (to fitter)
