Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M2) – Airbus A320 Line Maintenance (YYZ)

Summary

Transport Canada–licensed AME M2 performing line maintenance on the Airbus A320 family (A318/A319/A320/A321) at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft turnaround in accordance with Transport Canada CARs, company MPM /MEL procedures, and Airbus maintenance data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections, transit checks, service checks, and routine line tasks on A320‑family aircraft.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and defect rectification on airframe, powerplant, avionics, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Execute MEL procedures, including deferrals, placarding, and accurate logbook entries under TC regulations.
  • Replace and test LRUs, including avionics modules, sensors, actuators, wheels/brakes, and other line‑replaceable components.
  • Use AMM, FIM, TSM, SRM, IPC, and digital maintenance systems to perform and document all work.
  • Coordinate with flight crews, MCC, dispatch, and operations to support safe and on‑time departures.
  • Apply SMS principles, human‑factors awareness, and airside safety protocols at all times.
  • Complete technical records and sign‑offs in accordance with AME license privileges.
  • Support AOG recovery, ramp troubleshooting, and irregular operations as required.
  • Follow YYZ airside safety rules, WHMIS, and company quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada AME License – M2.
  • Airbus A320 type training or significant A320‑family line maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work shift work, including nights, weekends, and irregular operations.
  • Familiarity with digital maintenance systems (AMOS, TRAX, Maintenix, or similar).
  • Eligibility for RAIC and airside driver’s permit at YYZ.
