VHR Global Technical Recruitement is looking for a Safety Advisor with a focus on environmental compliance to join our HSE team at our client's Papendrecht campus.

What you'll do
Policy & Organization
- Develop and implement the company's HSE policies in a team setting.
- Translate applicable international and Dutch laws into internal procedures and guidelines.
- Advise the organization on compliance requirements and ensure ongoing adherence.
Environmental Compliance
- Perform or oversee emission measurements and reporting.
- Advise on environmental and sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate actions in line with the HSE annual plan.
- Conduct audits, incident investigations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records in designated data systems.
- Act as the internal and external point of contact for environmental compliance matters.
Reporting
- Provide regular updates to management on progress, incidents, project outcomes, and deviations.
- Prepare required reports for government and regulatory bodies.
What you'll bring
- HBO/Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemische Technologie or Milieukunde.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch and international environmental legislation and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Dutch and English.
- Understanding of business processes, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with company rules, procedures, and safety regulations.
