Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Structural Fitters / Sheet Metal Workers (SMWs) to join a well-established aviation maintenance team near Stansted. This role focuses on structural repairs and component replacements on commercial aircraft. Candidates must have recent hands-on experience and be able to work independently from technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural repairs and fabrication, including flush repair doublers on engine inlets and flight control surfaces

  • Replace inlet lip skin segments and flight control skin panels

  • Remove and install bolted and riveted sub-assemblies

  • Work from SRMs (Structural Repair Manuals), CMMs, and other OEM documentation

  • Follow aviation safety and quality procedures

Components You Will Work On:

  • Engine inlets

  • Fan cowls

  • Thrust reversers

  • Flight control surfaces

  • Landing gear

  • Passenger doors

Requirements:

  • Experience in aircraft structural fitting or aviation sheet metal work

  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals and repair instructions

  • Skilled in the use of standard aviation sheet metal tools

  • Must have own tools

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
