We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Technical Author to join a dynamic aviation environment. This role is perfect for a professional with strong documentation expertise and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance within an MRO or Part 145 setting.
About the Role
The Technical Author will provide critical support to the Compliance & Safety function by drafting, reviewing, and maintaining technical and regulatory documentation. The role ensures all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, update, and control technical documents, manuals, procedures, and compliance records in line with applicable regulations and company procedures
- Collaborate with the Compliance Manager and subject matter experts to ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Monitor regulatory authority updates (e.g., EASA, local CAA) for changes affecting MRO operations and communicate relevant updates internally
- Support audits and inspections by preparing and organizing required documentation
- Work with internal departments to ensure efficient document control and management processes
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of document management systems
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and approved systems
- Participate in environmental protection initiatives and report any related non-conformities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Compliance & Safety leadership team
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Aeronautical Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related discipline
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience within an aviation MRO environment (preferred but not essential)
- Experience within a Part 145 Quality organization is desirable
- Proficient in MS Office and standard office systems
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks (EASA, CAA or equivalent) is advantageous
