Technical Author – Compliance & Safety

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Technical Author to join a dynamic aviation environment. This role is perfect for a professional with strong documentation expertise and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance within an MRO or Part 145 setting.

About the Role
The Technical Author will provide critical support to the Compliance & Safety function by drafting, reviewing, and maintaining technical and regulatory documentation. The role ensures all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, update, and control technical documents, manuals, procedures, and compliance records in line with applicable regulations and company procedures
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Manager and subject matter experts to ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor regulatory authority updates (e.g., EASA, local CAA) for changes affecting MRO operations and communicate relevant updates internally
  • Support audits and inspections by preparing and organizing required documentation
  • Work with internal departments to ensure efficient document control and management processes
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of document management systems
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and approved systems
  • Participate in environmental protection initiatives and report any related non-conformities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Compliance & Safety leadership team

Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Aeronautical Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related discipline

Knowledge & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within an aviation MRO environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience within a Part 145 Quality organization is desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office and standard office systems
  • Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks (EASA, CAA or equivalent) is advantageous
