VHR is partnering with a prestigious client to find a high-calibre Aviation Quality & Safety leader to support complex helicopter operations across utility and IOGP environments. If you live and breathe aviation safety, audits, and SMS, this role puts you at the centre of high-impact operations.
Position: Senior Aviation Quality & Safety Manager (Helicopter Operations)
Location: International (rotational – mix of on-site & remote)
Contract: Long-term / Permanent
Rotation: 3 months on-site / 1 month remote
Leave: 30 days’ vacation per year

The Opportunity
Be the go-to authority for aviation quality, safety, and compliance in demanding helicopter ops spanning utility missions and IOGP standards. You’ll drive a proactive safety culture, lead audits/investigations, and ensure alignment with global best practice and regulatory requirements—comfortable from the flight line to the boardroom.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and manage the Aviation SMS for helicopter operations

Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal/external audits (regulatory, BARS, IOGP, company)

Drive incident/accident investigations with robust RCA and CAPA

Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations and international standards

Embed BARS and IOGP guidelines into day-to-day operations

Advise senior leadership on safety, risk, and quality
What You Must Bring

15+ years in aviation quality & safety within helicopter operations

Proven experience in both utility and IOGP helicopter environments

Recognised audit qualification (internal/external)

Strong SMS and safety investigation background

Deep knowledge of aviation regulations & compliance frameworks

Hands-on BARS experience

Solid IOGP knowledge in aviation/helicopter ops

Willing and able to work 3 months on / 1 month remote
