My client is a market leader in high-performance electrical safety and power quality solutions. They are seeking a strategic and technically grounded Head of Sales to lead our industrial division, focusing on critical sectors including Oil & Gas, Marine, and Renewables.

This is a senior leadership role designed for a professional who combines a deep Electrical Engineering background with the commercial acumen to drive growth in high-stakes, mission-critical environments.


The Role

As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and daily management of a specialised sales team. You will personally manage high-level key accounts while mentoring your team to identify and secure complex technical projects across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a small, high-performing team of technical sales engineers to exceed regional targets.

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a robust sales strategy for the industrial business unit, specifically targeting Oil & Gas (offshore/onshore), Marine (vessel power), and Renewable Energy (Wind/Solar/BESS).

  • Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert on electrical safety, insulation monitoring, and power quality, providing high-level consultation to consultants and end-users.

  • Key Account Management: Maintain and expand relationships with major EPCs, operators, and tier-one contractors within the industrial sector.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and production teams to align the solution portfolio with emerging market trends and client requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Educational Background: A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering is essential to understand the complexities of our system solutions.

  • Proven Leadership: Experience managing or leading a technical sales team within the electrical or power distribution industry.

  • Sector Expertise: A track record of selling into industrial markets, with specific knowledge of Marine, Oil & Gas, or Renewable power systems.

  • Commercial Drive: A strategic thinker with experience navigating long-cycle, high-value technical tenders and contract negotiations.

  • Communication: Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear commercial value propositions for C-suite stakeholders.
