We’re seeking a Head of Safety with solid experience in an EASA Part 145 MRO or airline environment to lead the Safety Department. You’ll manage the Safety Management System (SMS), implement safety policies aligned with international standards, and ensure compliance through audits, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is key in fostering a strong safety culture and managing a small, skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Lead investigations, audits, and reporting to regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies, processes, and training programs.
- Promote safety awareness and a proactive safety culture across the business.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on safety performance and regulatory changes.
- Oversee supplier safety standards and compliance processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Safety Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in aviation safety management (MRO experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of SMS, hazard identification, risk management, and investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 and continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
