CNC Operator Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and be proficient in operating CNC mills. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to read technical drawings, ensuring precision in machining components to meet stringent specifications.
Duties
- Operate CNC machines, including mills, to produce high-quality components.
- Interpret CAD drawings and Open Mind Hyper CAD files to set up and program machines accurately.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assemble components as required, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, maintaining an organised workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software for reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experienced machine operator setter and offline programmer (Open Mind Hyper Cad-S.
- Experience ideally on DMG (Celos) and or Hurco's. (WinMax)
- Familiarity with materials handling practices within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.
