About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner to join our Seating and Aerostructure business unit. This is a demanding and fast-paced role, requiring strong planning, problem-solving, and supply chain expertise. The successful candidate will ensure material availability, support production schedules, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Initiate and monitor material orders to support internal customers

Manage part allocation, stock levels, and shortage resolution

Oversee stock transfers and interplant transfers

Identify and mitigate delivery risks, including sourcing from alternate suppliers

Support annual inventory counts and excess/obsolete inventory management

Communicate production schedule impacts within the supply chain team

Work with SAP to optimise production and supply chain processes

Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to improve reporting and value stream efficiency

Lead material allocation decisions for critical parts

Support logistics and identify cost-saving opportunities

Drive process improvement initiatives using ACE and Lean strategies

Implement root-cause corrective actions to maintain quality standards

Actively support EH&S policies and training requirements
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years’ experience in material planning

Strong SAP knowledge (production and materials modules)

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

High level of English proficiency

Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Experience in aerospace is preferred; FMCG or global manufacturing industries considered

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
