The VHR team were treated to an annual company trip in recognition for this year’s hard work and success.
In mid-May 2018, VHR’s team of 60 employees travelled to Porto, North West Portugal for the VHR Annual Company Trip. June 2018 marks VHR’s 15th birthday, with a turnover of £35million in our last financial year providing multiple reasons to celebrate.
As the second largest city in Portugal and a coastal environment, Porto offered historical sites, beautiful scenery and plenty of entertainment. On the three-day weekend away, the VHR team enjoyed:
- Company Presentation – an update on financial successes this year so far, and the announcement that our recruitment specialist Rebecca Fagan has been promoted to Resource Lead. Congratulations, Rebecca!
- River Cruise Boat Trip – Tour of Porto’s expansive rivers passing one of the world’s oldest wine regions and numerous world heritage sites
- Portuguese Cuisine – Tasty meals out sampling Porto’s local meats, codfish fritters, green eggs, variety of pastries and famous fortified wines
- Treasure Hunt – Exploring the city’s landmarks including beautiful Baroque churches, riverside piazzas, the Palácio da Bolsa and a wealth of museums revealing the two-thousand-year history of Potro
- Disco and Karaoke – Social events throughout the weekend to enable our team to relax and recharge.
In previous years the annual summer trips enjoyed by the team at VHR have included Valencia in Spain, Barbados in the Caribbean and New York City in the United States.
VHR is proud to recognise and reward the hard work and achievements of our amazing team. Communication is key to our collaborative working culture: monthly social events update teams across all VHR offices on company progress, in addition to providing a space and time for all employees to socialise and build strong relationships with colleagues.
VHR’s Employee Benefits Programme includes:
- Quarterly Dinners for Top Performers
- Early Finish Fridays
- Loyalty Holiday Incentive Scheme
- Monthly Awards for Business Development and Support teams
VHR also recognise the importance of training and development and we invest significantly in the career progression of our employees.
