VHR is delighted to commemorate our 20th anniversary, and we are extremely proud of our hard-working employees’ accomplishments. We took this chance to reflect on how far VHR has come since its inception in 2003 and anticipate continuing our success in the years ahead. For VHR, each birthday is an occasion to celebrate growth, another year of helping candidates find their dream roles, and clients to find the best talent in their respective sectors.
Our Founder and CEO, Danny Brooks, had a vision when creating VHR in 2003, to develop new type of recruitment agency that closely partners with client businesses, benefiting companies, candidates, and communities alike.
Over the past two decades, VHR has expanded its services and provided jobs and ethical services to thousands of technical clients and candidates across 52 countries. We are grateful for the support and trust of our clients and candidates over the years and look forward too many more years of shared success.
VHR's Success Over the Past Year
- Award Wins - VHR were announced winners at the TIARA MENA 2022 Recruitment Awards for our Client Service, at the Global Business Excellence Awards for International Trade & Employer of the Year and received our 50th industry award.
- Candidate Network Growth – VHR’s LinkedIn community grew to over 77,700 followers
- Team Expansion – Welcomed 25 new starters into the business across a variety of departments, including doubling headcount in our UAE office.
- Incorporating in Saudi – VHR is in the process of incorporating with a Saudi Arabian office and have also recruited On-Site Co-Ordinators based in the area to best support our clients and candidates.
- Implemented new Technology – VHR invested in a variety of new technology such as CRM, Automation and Marketing Tools to increase the workflow and the communication with both our clients and candidates.
- Gave Back to our Community – Members of the VHR team took part in charity challenges throughout the year such as the London Marathon, an in-office 20-hour bike ride, loud shirt days.
- Attended Tradeshows Around the World – Professional Motorsport World Expo, Aviation Week MRO Europe, YAS Marina Circuit, Recruitment Agency Expo, METS TRADE.com, Dubai Airshow, Farnborough International, MRO Middle East, Airline Economics, EBACE to connect with candidates and clients from around the globe
Before Covid-19 the VHR team had grown to 100 employees across the 9 offices worldwide, achieving a revenue of £36 Million. However, the pandemic had an unprecedented effect on our workforce due to the nature of our work and the severe lack of demand that our industries were facing. In the years following the team has bounced back and grown rapidly to 54 individuals around 8 offices globally. The ever-growing team covers 9 departments and enables us to give the upmost best advice and care to our candidates on behalf of our clients.
How Do We Plan to Celebrate?
VHR is celebrating this milestone in style and with a range of exciting events and initiatives. The celebrations include a holiday for all employees, a summer party to bring everyone together and special campaigns and promotions to engage with our candidates, past present and future. Our London office are also taking part in a momentous 20-hour charity bike ride event that will take place in order to help raise money and give back to our local community that VHR have resided in for nearly two decades.
Through the celebrations, VHR have wanted to aim for a diverse range of activities that will appeal to all those who have helped us on the way. The clear focus on our company values and both our employees and the wider community have made us more focused on celebrating our 20th anniversary and all its achievements in a meaningful way.
The Future of VHR
VHR has set its sights high for the future, with ambitious plans to become the most recognised and respected recruitment business in its industry sectors around the world. Working with candidates in more than 50 countries, our team are determined in assisting all those who need our help.
We are constantly researching and investing into new technology to help streamline and enhance efficiency across the board. This investment will not only improve the overall service that VHR provides to its clients and candidates but will also promote a stronger work ethic within our team.
In addition, VHR is committed to empowering its employees through development and training opportunities. This will ensure that our staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide top-tier services to our candidates and clients on a daily basis.
Over the next few years, we plan to attract even more talent to join our expanding team in all the VHR offices. Within the medium term aims, the target is 75 people. VHR will increase its ability to serve and will remain at the forefront of the recruitment industry.
Furthermore, to expand the presence of VHR, we plan to open offices in Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. This expansion will provide new opportunities for growth and focus and solidify VHR’s position as a leader in the industry.
VHR plan to keep growing, keep improving and keep pushing for ethical labour around the globe. VHR recognise the importance of treating workers fairly and ensuring that all employment practices are carried out with integrity and respect for human rights. VHR has committed to ethical labour practices, and this is reflected within the company policies and procedures.
