Lead Safety Inspector

Full time permanent in the Middle East - not UAE

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading organisation within the aviation MRO sector, is looking to appoint a Lead Safety Investigator to join their Compliance & Safety team. This role is responsible for leading occurrence and incident investigations within a Part-145 environment, ensuring timely, impartial, and evidence-based root cause analysis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess Occurrence Reports (OR), initiating investigations as required

  • Determine Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MOR) and submit to authorities within required timelines

  • Lead safety investigations and ensure accurate root cause analysis (e.g. 5 Why methodology)

  • Assign and monitor corrective actions across departments

  • Track defect reports and communicate with customers where required

  • Support audits and present findings to internal committees

  • Analyse trends and recommend process improvements

  • Develop and deliver safety training where needed

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc safety reports


Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline

  • B1, B2, or C Aircraft Maintenance License (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in aviation/MRO

  • Strong knowledge of Part-145, SMS, and safety investigation processes

  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and aircraft maintenance procedures

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
