ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • Management of eleven (11) UK and international ledgers totalling £5M in receivables
  • Proactive collections against large volumes of open invoices in multiple currencies including GBP, USD, Euros, CZK, QAR, SRA, CAD, USD and AED
  • Decision maker for credit terms provided to new and existing customers
  • Proactive management and collection of customer receivables
  • Close management of customer balances to minimise bad and doubtful debts
  • Management of legal processes for debt collection where required
  • Management of relationship with the Company’s credit insurers
  • Support cash flow management across the group of VHR Companies
  • Manage the relationship with the Company’s Invoice Discounting / Factoring provider

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Managing and maintaining eleven (11) ledgers totalling circa 90 UK and international client accounts
  • Establish customer credit ratings using Coface, Experian tools and Credit Insurance models
  • Liaise with customers to ensure receipt of all invoices
  • Management of customer balances to minimise bad and doubtful debts
  • Agree payment dates with customers for open invoices
  • Match customer payments against open invoices on the Company’s Sage Intacct accounting software
  • Submit weekly or monthly statements of account to all debtors
  • Populate Company’s Bullhorn contact database with customer Accounts Payable staff details
  • Recording of customer communication on the Company’s Bullhorn contact database
  • Liaise with the relevant Company Account Managers and Directors in the event of persistent customer late payment
  • Manage legal process to recover debts where necessary with support from Company Directors
  • Liaise with the Company’s Invoice Discounting service provider where required
  • Management Information reporting and maintenance of Excel models
  • Produce and analyse reports, making recommendations or highlighting areas for improvement. Problem solving for a wide range of issues.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a credit control commercial environment
  • Must have experience working in a multi-currency international organisation, ideally in a services based sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly working with Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple receivables ledgers with multiple bank accounts
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal colleagues
  • Ability to reconcile complex customer accounts and have excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence to discuss and negotiate overdue payments directly with customers
  • Recruitment industry experience highly desirable
  • Sage Intacct experience highly desirable
