The VHR group is a multi-award-winning technical recruitment business, headquartered in London, supplying contract and permanent technical and professional staff to our clients within the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure, and Marine sectors.

VHR currently employs 65 members of staff across its 8 offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Bologna, Prague, Leipzig and Nicosia and generates a turnover of over £40M annually. The Company’s medium-term aims are to grow to 90+ staff and £85M annual turnover.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our team of Sales Consultants.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Business Development Manager with a strong track record in construction recruitment across the GCC. This individual will play a key role in expanding our presence within the white-collar construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors, and must bring a proven network of regional client relationships. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development activities across the GCC within the white-collar construction recruitment space
  • Utililise existing relationships with main contractors, developers, project management consultancies, and engineering firms to secure new business
  • Work with internal recruitment and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfilment of client requirements
  • Build and manage a pipeline of key accounts, with responsibility for growth and long-term client relationships
  • Keep up to date with regional construction projects, market activity, and client hiring needs
  • Represent VHR at industry events and client meetings across the region
  • Support leadership with input on market trends

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction recruitment business development, with a focus on white-collar roles
  • Established network of decision-makers within the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, or wider GCC construction industry
  • Strong understanding of the regional construction market, including current and upcoming projects
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage key accounts effectively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Highly organised, commercially astute, and able to work autonomously or part of a team
  • Previous recruitment agency experience is essential
