Boeing 737 Pickle Fork Replacement

Boeing 737 Pickle Fork Replacement

The Situation

A leading MRO needed to complete a complex Boeing 737 pickle fork replacement under strict OEM and regulatory requirements.

Internal structural resources were limited, creating risk to schedule and aircraft return-to-service.

The Solution

VHR Aircraft Technical Services deployed an experienced team of structural specialists led by a dedicated team leader with proven Boeing 737 modification experience. Working closely with the MRO’s planning and engineering teams, VHR executed aircraft preparation, structural removal and installation, non destructive testing, inspections, and documentation control in line with OEM tolerances.

Emergent findings were addressed without disrupting the maintenance programme.

The Outcome

The aircraft was returned to service on schedule and within budget.

All work met OEM and regulatory requirements, with no inspection findings.

VHR’s specialist support enabled the MRO to complete a high-risk structural modification efficiently while protecting operational commitments and airworthiness.
