VHR are delighted to announce that we have won two titles at the Southwark Business Excellence Awards.
At last night’s Southwark Business Excellence Awards, VHR were thrilled to have won two Awards: Best Employer and Entrepreneur of the Year. VHR is an international technical recruitment consultancy working with clients and candidates across 45 countries, and our London office is based in Southwark.
The Best Employer Award serves to highlight organisations with high standards of employee engagement, investment, welfare, training and development, and who can demonstrate how their employee initiatives contribute to the success of the business.
This award recognises the innovative employee engagement programme delivered by VHR’s in-house HR team, unique employee benefits including monthly social events, holiday trips and health incentives, and our high levels of staff retention in the recruitment industry.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award celebrates an outstanding individual who displays entrepreneurial traits including ambition, care, vision and tenacity, and who can demonstrate all-round business excellence. This award recognises Danny’s leadership and the phenomenal growth and financial success that VHR has enjoyed over the past three years. Danny was also recently named Global Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors.
The Southwark Business Excellence Awards follow VHR’s awards success so far this year:
- The Queen’s Award for Enterprise – VHR won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise - International Trade in April 2018, which recognises outstanding achievement by UK businesses and is the most prestigious award a UK business can receive
- Best Business Awards – Won the title of Best Small to Medium-Sized Business
- Shortlisted for – Best International Recruitment Company at the Recruiter Awards and three categories at the SME National Business Awards
Last night also saw VHR receive the title of Highly Commended in the Global Recruiter Awards. As a 15-year-old business with 70 employees across five offices, VHR competes with hundreds of large and long-established recruitment companies, and we are honoured to receive the recognition at both the Global Recruiter Awards and the Southwark Business Awards.
