TECHNICAL TRAINER – AVIATION MRO

Technical Trainer required to work for a leading Aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) company.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a Technical Trainer, performing various tasks including:

  • Delivering classroom, workshop, and hands-on technical training to aviation maintenance personnel
  • Developing, updating, and maintaining technical training materials and presentations
  • Preparing training environments, tools, equipment, and resources to reflect operational shop conditions
  • Administering written and practical assessments to evaluate technician competency
  • Monitoring trainee progress and providing coaching, mentoring, and corrective guidance
  • Identifying knowledge and skill gaps and implementing improvement plans
  • Validating technician competency through both theoretical and practical assessments
  • Maintaining accurate training records, certifications, and qualification documentation
  • Coordinating training schedules and maintaining training databases
  • Tracking employee certifications and qualification requirements
  • Supporting internal and external audits through accurate document control
  • Collaborating with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to improve training effectiveness
  • Ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices
  • Traveling to customer and company locations as required to conduct training activities

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing and delivering technical training
  • Experience within an FAA-regulated aviation maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly Part 145 requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and adapt instructional methods
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Desirable Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Previous experience within an Aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) environment
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Human Factors training or experience
  • Familiarity with AS9110 quality standards
  • Experience with commercial aircraft engine maintenance
  • Experience working with CFM56 or similar turbine engines
  • Previous hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
