Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Infrastructure & Critical Power

Our client is a recognised market leader in electrical safety, power network resilience and monitoring solutions for critical infrastructure and industrial applications.

The Role:

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and securing new business opportunities across targeted industrial sectors through a consultative and specification-led sales approach.

The role will involve promoting and supporting the companies solutions including:

  • Insulation Monitoring Devices (IMDs)

  • Earth Fault Detection Systems

  • Residual Current Monitoring (RCM)

  • Power Quality Monitoring

  • Condition Monitoring Solutions

  • Power Network Resilience Solutions

  • Functional Safety Applications

  • Critical Power Distribution Systems

  • Energy Storage Monitoring Solutions

  • Smart Electrical Infrastructure Monitoring



You will be developing relationships with Asset Owners, Operators and Engineering teams across the following sectors':

  • Energy and Utilities

  • Defence and Naval

  • Marine and Harbours

  • Renewables

  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

  • Rail Infrastructure

  • Water and Wastewater

  • Manufacturing

  • Nuclear and SMR

  • Emerging technology sectors including autonomous systems and drone manufacturers

Requirements:

Essential :

·  HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
·  Proven experience in a technical sales, applications engineering or business development role.
·  Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
·  Experience selling or specifying electrical products, systems or solutions.
·  Experience engaging with consultants, contractors and end users.
·  Strong commercial awareness and project sales experience.
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills.
·  Full UK driving licence.

Desirable :

Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

  • Energy

  • Marine and Naval

  • Switchgear

  • MCCs

  • Protection systems
