Overview

The Technical Department plays a central role in managing airworthiness, flight safety, operational performance, and fleet reliability. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Program & Reliability Manager to lead a specialist team responsible for fleet maintenance program development, reliability monitoring, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated aviation environment.

Working closely with Engineering, Production Planning, Fleet Introduction/Retirement teams, OEMs, and regulatory authorities, you will ensure the continued effectiveness and optimization of the aircraft maintenance program while driving improvements in fleet reliability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Program Management

  • Lead the team responsible for maintaining and updating the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP).
  • Ensure incorporation of manufacturer documentation, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures into maintenance program revisions.
  • Support the implementation and deployment of new maintenance program revisions.
  • Evaluate Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and source documentation affecting the maintenance programme.
  • Assess operational and production impacts resulting from maintenance programme changes.
  • Provide responses and technical support regarding maintenance programme reviews and aircraft transitions.

Reliability & Performance

  • Conduct proactive reliability studies to improve fleet operational and economic performance.
  • Analyze fleet reliability trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Challenge existing processes and develop recommendations to enhance aircraft reliability.
  • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Organize and lead monthly and annual reliability review meetings.
  • Identify supply chain improvement opportunities through reliability analysis.

Stakeholder & Industry Engagement

  • Represent the airline at manufacturer-led maintenance steering committees, industry working groups, and authority meetings.
  • Collaborate with OEMs, regulators, and other operators on maintenance programme development and optimization.
  • Support fleet phase-in and phase-out activities to ensure seamless aircraft integration and retirement.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance programme and reliability specialists.
  • Support onboarding and competency development of new team members.
  • Promote continuous improvement and standardized working practices across the department.

Requirements

Education

  • Degree-level qualification in Aeronautical Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Previous management or team leadership experience.
  • Significant experience within aircraft maintenance, continuing airworthiness, reliability, or engineering environments.
  • Experience working within a commercial airline or CAMO environment.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes and reliability processes.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part-M / Part-CAMO and Part-145 regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of aircraft technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with TRAX or similar maintenance ERP systems would be advantageous.

Language

  • Fluent French and English are essential.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above in a technical environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across technical and operational departments.
