Job Title: Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer (DTC Specialist)
Location: UK & Ireland (Travel: ~75% London, ~25% Rest of UK)

About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer (Data Centre & Commercial Specialist) to drive technical specification and growth for high-performance energy efficiency systems across the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you will act as a key commercial and technical expert, focusing heavily on Colocation and Enterprise Data Centres (DTC) alongside Commercial & Industrial key accounts. You will lead engagement with M&E consultants, systems integrators, switchboard builders, and end-users to secure specifications and drive project sales.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Specification & Client Engagement: Achieve system specification with M&E consultants, design offices, and end-users.

CPD & Thought Leadership: Deliver CPD Lunch & Learn sessions on Power Quality, Power & Energy Monitoring, and Energy Efficiency regulations (e.g., EED).

Channel & Partner Management: Lead and develop the Systems Integrator Programme and collaborate closely with panel builders and contractors.

Commercial Tendering: Prepare and deliver accurate technical quotations for energy efficiency projects based on schematics, specifications, or site surveys.

Strategy & Mentorship: Act as a commercial mentor for regional sales teams, track major data centre opportunities, and contribute to UK pricing, product launch plans, and market intelligence.

Customer Audits: Develop and execute customer audit processes to demonstrate the clear ROI of continuous assessment and granular energy monitoring.
What We Are Looking For

Experience: Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience within metering, measurement, power quality, or energy management solutions.

Industry Focus: Proven track record selling into Data Centre environments (Colo/Enterprise) and Commercial & Industrial sectors.

Technical Expertise: Strong background in Low Voltage (LV) electrical engineering networks, industrial communication protocols, BMS/SCADA automation, or IT integration.

Education: Degree/qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering is highly advantageous.

Skills: Strong presentation abilities, excellent commercial acumen, and proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Travel & Time Allocation

Field Presence: ~75% client/site visits in London, with ~25% travel across the rest of the UK.

Target Audience Split: 50% Data Centres | 50% Commercial & Industrial.
