Composite Laminator
Required to work for a leading motorsport and automotive composite manufacturing company.
This is an excellent opportunity based in Maranello, Italy to join an established and growing composite specialist, whilst being rewarded with a competitive package and the chance to work on high-profile projects for some of the world's most prestigious automotive brands.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as a Composite Laminator, performing various tasks including:
- Laminating structural and aesthetic composite components including carbon look parts
- Preparing and cleaning moulds prior to lamination
- Applying carbon fibre lay-up using prepreg and/or wet lay-up processes
- Carrying out vacuum bagging and autoclave curing where required
- Applying carbon look finish to composite parts to the highest aesthetic standards
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the lamination process to ensure zero defects
- Identifying and reporting any imperfections or non-conformities
- Working to technical drawings and production specifications
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment in line with production standards
- Collaborating closely with the production team to meet deadlines and delivery targets
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience as a Composite Laminator
- Experience with prepreg lay-up, wet lay-up or infusion processes
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work on large structural and aesthetic composite components
- Senior level profile with demonstrable production experience
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with carbon look finishing and high cosmetic standard components
- Experience in the motorsport, automotive or marine sectors
- Familiarity with vacuum bagging and autoclave processes
- Previous experience working on motosport components, winglets or body panels
