Overview:
I am currently supporting a leading precision engineering organisation, responsible to key contributions within the motorsport and F1 industry, with their search for a CNC Machinist with experience with 5-Axis CNC machines and Heidenhain controls.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines for high-precision component production.
- Work with advanced materials like carbon fibre to create components for industries such as motorsport.
- Perform quality checks to ensure components meet strict specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimise machining processes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Knowing how to do offline programming would be highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise with 5-Axis machining.
- Proficiency in operating machines using Heidenhain controls.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Experience machining motorsport parts (or similar) and working with carbon fibre components is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Offer:
- Permanent position.
- Hourly rate based on experience – between £19 - £23 per hour.
- 20 days annual leave.
- Day shift – 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs), 10 hours per day.
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
