We are seeking a dedicated Aircraft Paint Prep Technician to join our aircraft refinishing team in Ontario. Whether you have experience preparing vehicles in the automotive industry or have previously worked in industrial painting, this is an excellent opportunity to transition into the aviation sector.

No previous aircraft experience is required—we provide training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, cleaning, and surface preparation.

  • Remove existing paint and coatings using approved methods.

  • Fill and sand surface imperfections to meet quality standards.

  • Mask aircraft components and surrounding areas before painting.

  • Clean and inspect surfaces prior to primer and paint application.

  • Assist Aircraft Painters throughout the refinishing process.

  • Follow company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in paint preparation, automotive refinishing, collision repair, industrial painting, or a related field.

  • Experience working in an automotive body shop or automotive paint department is highly encouraged.

  • Previous aircraft painting experience is an asset but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work safely with sanding equipment, hand tools, and personal protective equipment.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders, platforms, and elevated work areas.

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
