VHR is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to recruit a Senior Maintenance Director (Part 145). This strategic leadership position plays a critical role in overseeing and managing aircraft maintenance operations within a dynamic, high-performance aviation environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and team leadership across the assigned maintenance business unit.
Role Overview:
The Senior Maintenance Director will be entrusted with full oversight of the assigned Part 145 Repair Station. This includes management of scheduled aircraft maintenance, facilities, tooling, staff planning, and adherence to airworthiness standards in line with GACA, EASA, and FAA regulations. The position also encompasses coordination with various stakeholders on new base setups and contract launches, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance to ensure on-time inputs, availability, and operational readiness
Enforcing strict compliance with all applicable regulatory frameworks and OEM maintenance standards
Leading and mentoring a large technical team, including performance evaluations and coaching
Overseeing hangar facilities, ensuring HESS compliance, cleanliness, and maintenance readiness
Liaising with logistics to manage component removal, preservation, and return processes
Supporting planning meetings and reporting on maintenance activity, tooling needs, and staffing
Developing and managing department budgets and cost-control initiatives
Driving safety reporting culture through active engagement with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
Facilitating accommodation and travel logistics for technical staff as required
Encouraging teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to company policies
Candidate Requirements:
A minimum of 11 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering leadership
Holds or is eligible for a GACA License, or an equivalent EASA/FAA/ICAO Type II License
In-depth understanding of GACA and other foreign civil aviation authority Part 145 requirements
Proven track record managing large-scale maintenance operations and technical teams
Experience with maintenance forecasting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills
Experience in developing and implementing business cases and closing audit actions
