Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager / ARC Signatory

Description

Deputy to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAMO Post Holder) in assigning duties and responsibilities of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) department primarily based at Biggin Hill Airport. Day-to-day oversight of CAMO activities across all sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deputy to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) - Biggin Hill.
  • Delegated oversight of all continuing airworthiness activity of the fleet as defined in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and associated procedures.
  • Support the CAMO team across all sites.
  • Supporting the CAM in the discharge of their duties in accordance with the requirements of Part-CAMO, IOM & OTAR regulatory requirements.
  • To ensure that all appropriate legislative and company procedures are adhered to ensuring continuing compliance with current regulatory requirements.
  • Provide cross functional support with the CAMO team based at Liskeard and Boscombe Down.
  • Regular liaison with the Operations Team in support of the AOC.
  • Support the development of the Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMP).
  • Performance of airworthiness reviews to support recommendation / issue / extension of Airworthiness Reviews Certificates (ARC).
  • Support the CoA, ECoA and Permit to Fly Applications and process.
  • Review and approval of variations to the AMPs.
  • Support the airworthiness data review such as Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins, Modifications and implementation actions.
  • Respond to audit findings related to functional areas as required by the CAM.
  • Ensuring that CAMO personnel based at all sites are suitably qualified and authorised to perform their duties.
  • Develop reports as required in support of the fleet on behalf of operators.
  • Perform any other tasks commensurate with the role.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Good understanding of aircraft continuing airworthiness requirements as related to Part CAMO, Part 145, SMS.
  • Detailed understanding of Occurrence Reporting, MORs, Safety Management Systems
  • Methodical with acute attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision or as part of a team.
  • Flexible work ethic focused on delivering against agreed timelines.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Proactive - ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action.
  • Computer literacy skills and be competent with Aerotrac.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills & the ability to communicate at all levels.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for CAMO management.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Fleet and the technical documentation.

Education, Qualifications/Training

Essential

The below Essential requirements are UK CAA requirements to be eligible to perform airworthiness reviews.

  • Experienced Part 66 licensed engineer or holding an appropriate aeronautical degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in continuing airworthiness management environment or -
  • 10 years' experience in continuing airworthiness management environment.
  • Acceptable as ARC Signatory to support the recommendation / issue / extension of ARC's & CoA process.

Desirable

  • Aviation Human Factors training undertaken.
  • Recognised Part CAMO & Part 145 Training Courses accomplished.
  • General Familiarisation Training Course on Agusta A109 series, AW109SP, AW139, AW169, H145, H125, S76 series, Bell 206

Additional Requirements

  • Due to the nature of the role, you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
  • Full UK Driving Licence & prepared to travel as required.
